." >> tori campbell. >>> breaking news in san jose. crews rushed there after a report of an explosion. alex savidge is on the scene. what do we know so far, alex? >> reporter: well, still a very active scene here. san jose firefighters inside this home behind us here, trying to make sure this fire is knocked down. there is one gentleman sitting here with a blanket around him. one of the people inside the home this morning. five people were inside at the -- in the home at the time, includinging who were hurt. tell me about the injuries. >> minor burns just from exposure to the heat. >> reporter: we heard this started with an explosion? >> that was the report. the report was an explosion fired by a crew. first thing, crews found a couple of bedrooms on fire. as far as the explosion goes, that's still under investigation. the hazmat team is here to do some monitoring to figure out if it was gas-related or another cause. >> reporter: thank you very much, can't be. i appreciate that -- captain. i appreciate that. the san jose firefighters are out here to make sure this fire is out. they believe
'm tori campbell. it's wednesday, october 31st. it's halloween. >>> a million people are expected at the -- are expected at the giants' world series victory parade. this the staging area is at market and mission streets. it ends up at civic center plaza. it's filled with orange and black championship banners. the crowd is growing by the minute near civic center plaza. brian flores. >> reporter: you look ahead at civic center plaza, where, yes, it's early in the morning. the parade does not start until 11:00. fans are starting to make their claim to their spot here in the plaza. we talked to some people and some fans started to show up at 4:00 a.m. some showing up as far as the central valley just to get here. but just take a look at the scene here. you can see the world series championship banner. it's all over city hall. the stage is set for the players. and just all over the place. it's just orange and black balloons. many other buildings. they are showing up in droves. as you can see, a lot of people bringing chairs here, smart. because they will probably be sitting down for a
morning. welcome to mornings on 2 i'm dave clark. >> and i'm tori campbell. it's friday, november 2nd. fair field police are searching for a man and a woman who were caught on tape stealing mail in a fairfield neighborhood. ktvu claudine wong joins us from the wood lake park neighborhood with more on what neighbors are doing to help police track down the suspects. claudine. >> reporter: well, a handful of residents inside this neighborhood here in fairfield this is wood lake neighborhood have become the victims of mail thieves. they didn't take this lying down. they got together and set up operation mail thief. i want to show you video from their surveillance canal as. what they did is put up the red flags on the mailbox to let people know they had mail inside. this is what they caught two people a man and woman driving top the mailboxes and taking out the mail. they said they were not happy with what they saw. >> they may not have come into our house, but they attacked a portion of our house. and we feel violated. >> reporter: they felt violated but now they are also empowered with t
